1. Microphone & Voice Transmission

Walkie-Talkie requires access to your device microphone strictly to provide push-to-talk (PTT) communication.

• On-Demand Recording Only: Audio is captured exclusively when you physically hold down the yellow "TALK" button on your Apple Watch, iPhone, or press the Action Button on Apple Watch Ultra.
• No Continuous Listening: When the TALK button is released, the microphone immediately turns off. The app never records or monitors audio in the background.
• Ephemeral Voice Audio: Live audio broadcasts are transmitted in real time to connected contacts on your active radio channel. Transmissions are not recorded, stored, or indexed on permanent external servers.
• Say Again Audio Buffer: If you use the "Say Again" replay feature, the last transmission is cached temporarily and volatilely in your device's local RAM memory and is discarded upon channel change or app exit.

2. Account Information & Authentication

To enable multi-device synchronization and contact discovery, Walkie-Talkie stores:

• Your registered account email address and a cryptographically salted password hash.
• Your display callsign and availability status (e.g. Available / Radio Silence).
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your account credentials to any advertisers or third-party data brokers.

3. Subscriptions & Apple In-App Purchases

All subscription billing (Monthly Pro at $3.99/mo and Annual Pro at $39.00/yr with a 3-Day Free Trial) is processed directly by Apple via Apple StoreKit 2. We never see, receive, or store your credit card numbers, billing addresses, or payment credentials.

4. Speech-to-Text Transcription

The optional Live Captions feature utilizes Apple's native on-device speech recognition framework whenever available. Voice-to-text processing occurs directly on your iPhone or Apple Watch without sending raw voice recordings to external advertising platforms.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

You have full control over your data. You may update your profile or delete your account and associated contact pairings directly within the app settings or by contacting our support team.
