Delete your account and data
You can delete your TIL account, and the data stored with it, in either of two ways.
Option 1: In the app
- Open TIL: Curious Facts and tap the Account tab.
- Sign in if you are not already signed in.
- Tap "Delete my account", then "Yes, delete everything".
Your account and synced data are erased right away.
Option 2: By email
If you cannot open the app, email dolair02@gmail.com from the address you registered with, using the subject "Delete my TIL account". We will confirm by reply and delete your account and data within 30 days.
What is deleted
- Your account: email address, user ID, and password hash.
- Your synced data: favorites, viewed facts, and daily fact.
What is not affected
- Data stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing its storage removes it.
- Your subscription. Deleting your account does not cancel it. Cancel in Google Play (Payments and subscriptions, then Subscriptions) or in your Apple ID subscription settings.
If you never created an account, we hold no personal data about you and there is nothing to delete.
