Takehome for iOS
Privacy Policy
Takehome is a job and profit tracker for people who run home service work — plumbing, electrical, HVAC, remodeling, handyman jobs. This page explains what the app stores and what it does not.
The short version. Takehome stores the information you type into it so the app can show it back to you. It is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers. There are no ads and no third-party trackers. You can delete your account and all of its data from inside the app at any time.
Information the app collects
Takehome only holds what you enter yourself:
- Account details. Your email address and a password. Passwords are never stored as written — they are converted into an irreversible scrambled value used only to check that a sign-in matches.
- Client records. Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and any notes you add about the people you work for.
- Job records. Job titles and descriptions, scheduled and completed dates, job status, quoted price, payment status, job notes, and job site addresses when you choose to enter them.
- Costs. Materials, labor, and other expenses you log against a job, which the app subtracts from the quoted price to show your profit.
Takehome does not collect your device location in the background, does not read your contacts, and does not build an advertising profile.
How the information is used
Your data is used for one purpose: running the app for you. That means signing you in, showing your job list and client list, and calculating totals such as monthly profit and outstanding unpaid work. It is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose you did not ask for.
Who else sees it
Your information is not sold and is not shared with advertisers or data brokers. It is stored on hosted infrastructure operated by service providers — a database provider and an application hosting provider — that process the data only to keep the app running. Information may be disclosed if required by law, or to protect the safety or legal rights of the app's users.
Client information you enter
When you save a customer's name or phone number, you are entering information about someone else. You are responsible for having a legitimate business reason to hold it and for handling it appropriately under the laws that apply to your business.
Storage and security
Data is stored on servers located in the United States. Traffic between the app and the server is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and each request is authenticated so that one account cannot read another account's records. No system is completely secure, but access to your data is limited to what running the app requires.
Deleting your account
Open Account in the app header, scroll to the delete section, type DELETE, and confirm. This permanently removes your account along with every client, job, cost, and note attached to it. The action cannot be undone. You can also request deletion by emailing dolair02@gmail.com.
Keeping your data
Your records are kept for as long as your account exists. Once the account is deleted, the associated records are removed from the live database; residual copies may persist briefly in routine backups before they expire.
Children
Takehome is a business tool built for adults running service work. It is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them. If you believe a child has created an account, email dolair02@gmail.com and it will be removed.
Your choices
You can view and edit everything in your account directly in the app, and you can delete all of it at once as described above. To ask what is stored on your account or to request a copy, email dolair02@gmail.com.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Meaningful changes will also be noted in the app.
